i think that it took alot of courage for the four sisters to form a resistance against Trujillo. It took alot of courage to go against a person with that much power. When all of their husbands got arrested and Trujillo promised to let there husbands go and he didnt i think that was wrong. And when Trujillo took all of the sisters to a middle of a sugar field and had the prison guards rape and then murder them in my opinion wasnt necessary what so ever.

i think when the author used this symbolism to show this was very every effective. i could relate to the what the author was saying. Women are the flowers of our country .

In chapter 6 the author uses symbolism to show that flowers represent women. " young ladies are the flowers of our country.
